Jay Gedeon, CFP®


Jay joined Owens Estate and Wealth Strategies Group in 2018 as a Financial Advisor and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™. Jay and his wife, Jenny, have recently joined forces with the Owens team and will serve clients from our Auburn office located in downtown at 128 East Street. Jay’s extensive financial background spans over 30 years where he has worked for Dean Witter Reynolds Inc., Merrill Lynch, and Invest Financial Corp as a financial advisor. This later led him to open his own practice under Raymond James Financial Services. He and Jenny have owned their own practice in Roseville for 15 years and are excited to now work alongside a team in order to best cater to the needs of their clients. Jay’s calm and caring demeanor helps people to feel comfortable as they explore their financial needs. Jay can explain complex investments at an understandable level and says, “I always encourage clients to ask questions if they’re not 100% comfortable.”

Jay grew up in Arlington, Texas and spent some time in San Marcos and Austin, Texas before moving to California. He attended California State University, Fullerton obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with concentration in Finance and emphasis on Investments. He holds his series 7, 9, 10, and 63 licenses, California State Insurance License and is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional.

Jay’s passion lies with music and has been playing the guitar since he was 10 years old. He started playing professionally at the age of 13 and now enjoys collecting and restoring vintage guitars and amplifiers.  Jay and Jenny have two children, Emily and Dillon, which they have raised in Roseville, California. In his free time, Jay loves to spend time with family and travel with Jenny.
