Jay has been providing financial guidance to his clients since 1983 when he first became a financial advisor. He works closely with individual and corporate clients to develop long-term investment plans tailored to their specific needs and circumstances.
His honesty, integrity and caring demeanor help clients feel comfortable as they explore their financial goals and needs. He can explain complex investments in a manner that is easy to understand. “I always encourage clients to ask questions if they’re not fully confident about something,” Jay says.
Jay’s extensive resume includes Dean Witter Reynolds, Merrill Lynch and Invest Financial Corporation. It eventually led him to open his own practice under Raymond James with his wife, Jenny. They have owned their own practice in Roseville for 15 years and recently joined our team to serve clients from our downtown Auburn office.
Jay holds Series 7, 9, 10 and 63 licenses, a California insurance license (#0A20491), and is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional. He is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration with a concentration in finance and an emphasis on investments.
Jay is a voting member of our investment committee and collaborates with our team to develop and monitor investment allocations, study economic trends, and track the investment performance of our portfolios. His seasoned investment perspective has resulted in the development of additional portfolio options for our clients.
Jay was born in Cleveland, grew up in Texas, and moved to Southern California and then Northern California. He and his wife, Jenine, live in Roseville, where they raised their children, Emily and Dillon.
In his free time, Jay is an amateur grill master and professional guitar player. He has had a real passion for music ever since playing the guitar at 10 years old, and then professionally at the age of 13. He also enjoys collecting and restoring vintage guitars and amplifiers.
