Marian is a team player and a people person who works closely with our clients and advisors to ensure a quality experience for all. Her thoroughness and attention to detail are evident in every task she tackles. She listens carefully whenever a client needs something or has a question, and diligently follows through to arrive at a resolution.

Whenever the opportunity arises, she takes the time to educate our clients on matters that can make their lives more convenient, such as how to access their accounts online to view their statements, portfolio performance and daily account activity.

She also works with our financial advisors to help prepare materials for client appointments, including drafting agendas, reviewing insurance and annuity policies, and preparing pre-meeting checklists and portfolio reports.

Marian joined Owens Estate & Wealth Strategies Group in 2017 and has more than 15 years of financial industry experience, from back-office support to client-facing roles. Previously in her career, positions she held include branch office administrator at Edward Jones in Grass Valley, development coordinator at Marymount California University, and executive assistant and administrative assistant in the research and due diligence departments at ING Advisors Network. She attended Azusa Pacific University and Cal State Fullerton, where she focused on early childhood education and liberal studies.

Being community minded, Marian has participated in beach cleanups, food bank collection programs, and the Los Angeles Maritime Institute’s TopSail Youth Program, an education and adventure experience serving students from underserved schools and youth organizations.

Marian grew up in Northern California (Mendocino County), spent about 20 years in Southern California (San Pedro) and then moved back to Grass Valley in 2014 to be closer to family. She lives there today with her husband, Joseph. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, gardening and reading.
